- “When the inside works, everything else follows, and CoreBuntu exists to make that happen”
Mr. Divine, the visionary behind CoreBuntu Solutions, left a corporate role in his home country and began mentoring in crypto, education, and fintech across Cameroon. But he saw how visa restrictions, limited banking infrastructure, and gaps in international platforms left many Africans rich in talent but poor in opportunity.
Determined to grow, he relocated to Dubai in 2021 with crypto credentials and fintech ambitions. What he met instead were unrecognized certifications, skyrocketing living costs, and tight visa constraints. His first job was as a telesales agent at a forex/CFD brokerage, despite his extensive trading experience. There, he quickly uncovered widespread market manipulation, a disillusionment that pushed him to refocus on traditional finance.
When his tourist visa expired, Divine pivoted. He became an independent consultant for a Canadian corporate finance firm, where he mastered complex financial instruments like SBLCs, LCs, BGs, and private-placement programs. Within months, his expertise rivaled—and in some cases, surpassed—that of many bankers back in Africa.
He took on any job he could, working in chocolate factories and pet grooming farms, while upskilling himself through Coursera, YouTube, and LinkedIn Learning. His determination led him to earn over a hundred certifications in areas like relationship management, interbank protocols (UCP 600), project delivery, web design, and AI tools.
But the most important lesson Divine learned wasn’t technical; it was spiritual. He realized that the systems around work, talent, and leadership needed a heart-level redesign that can only be initiated spiritually.
Long before the company had a name, Divine had already begun building with others. In 2020, while still in Cameroon, he partnered with a local microfinance startup to co-develop a roadmap for cooperative, values-driven financial inclusion. That experience helped shape a deeper vision of business—one built on shared ownership, not hierarchy.
He lived Proverbs 27:17—”As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another”—by collaborating instead of competing. That collaboration later gave birth to Njangi Plus, a fintech tool rooted in African savings culture.
By 2022–2023, Divine and his wife were living in the UAE and they saved every dirham earned through consulting and side hustles. By early 2025, Divine began exploring the job market again, only to find that HR filters still prioritized pedigree over potential. So instead of chasing roles that didn’t value him, he built the structure that would.
Divine officially registered CoreBuntu Solutions in January 2025 at the Sharjah Research and Innovation Park Free Zone. Drawing from years of experience and purpose-driven partnerships, he launched the company with a model built on kingdom principles and co-ownership.
Through cold emails, personal outreach, and prayer, he invited trusted professionals to join as equal partners. Those who did not align dropped off, a pruning process Divine believes was Spirit-led. Those who remained became “the core.”
The name “CoreBuntu” reflects this ethos; Ubuntu, meaning “I am because we are,” meets the word “core,” the place of origin and alignment.
CoreBuntu Solutions is not just another consultancy. It is a values-first movement designed to help people work with purpose and legacy in mind. Rather than merely training people for roles, it aligns them with their natural gifts and helps them co-create meaningful, sustainable careers.
The organization runs a pilot training program focused initially on African talent in the UAE, but with plans to scale globally. The focus is on raising professionals who build scalable, tech-forward solutions while staying grounded in faith, community, and co-ownership.
CoreBuntu Solutions builds embedded finance platforms equipped with AI-powered credit scoring and real-time reporting. It develops digital banking systems for microfinance institutions, retail banks, and nano-loan providers.
The company also delivers project management and strategic consultancy while offering AI tool development and custom web and software design. It integrates white-label fintech modules and supports religious brands and nonprofits through technological solutions.
Every client engagement begins with clarity, shared values, and scalable thinking. The brand icon, a Pegasus paired with a hexagonal shield, represents freedom, strength, and unity. Its signature teal blue symbolizes trust and progress.
CoreBuntu’s first major client was Prima Finance and Investment, a microfinance firm in Cameroon. Together, they built Njangi Plus, a USSD-powered savings and lending tool that connects traditional savings groups, also known as njangi, to formal financial systems.
Njangi Plus allows users to save money as a group, take out small loans, and build a digital credit history based on how consistently they save. By using basic mobile phones, it bridges local culture with modern finance, making digital banking more accessible and trustworthy for underserved communities.
More clients are already in the pipeline, including Ghanaian e-commerce firms and regional banks across Cameroon, CEMAC countries, and Africa at large.
At CoreBuntu, scripture guides systems. The company draws inspiration from Matthew 20:1-15, where workers are rewarded equally regardless of when they began. Also, from Deuteronomy 32:30, which teaches that one can chase a thousand, but two can chase ten thousand.
Every partner brings their best, knowing they’re building their work, not someone else’s job. Kingdom principles—fairness, shared reward, and divine timing—anchor every decision. They strongly believe in this scripture: “We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.” — Philippians 4:13.
CoreBuntu Solutions aims to become a leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider across Africa and beyond within five years. The firm is also supporting religious brands with AI-backed solutions and setting up special-purpose vehicles in countries like Nigeria and Cameroon to power local development.
Divine sees CoreBuntu not as a job, but as a calling. “We are building systems that reflect heaven’s order,” he says. “Not just for profit, but for people, purpose, and posterity.”
